What does code save15 unlock?
The referral campaign advertises up to 15% cashback on eligible groceries and dining. “Up to” matters: the live offer can set a maximum rewarded spend, campaign period, merchant-category rules and country restrictions.
The card network decides the merchant category attached to a transaction. A purchase made at a supermarket or restaurant can therefore fail to qualify if the merchant is coded differently. Check the campaign in the app before spending and keep the transaction details until the reward arrives.
Referral cashback versus regular cashback
The save15 campaign sits on top of Ether.fi Cash’s normal reward programme; it does not turn the standard rate into 15% for all purchases.
| Reward | Where it applies | Main condition |
|---|---|---|
| Referral campaign | Eligible groceries and dining | Code save15, campaign period, category and spending cap |
| Regular card cashback | Eligible everyday card spending | Current membership tier and monthly spending bands |
| Ether.fi Travel | Eligible travel bookings | Separate travel portal terms and caps |
Regular cashback has historically been paid in USDC and can decrease after you pass a monthly spending threshold. Membership levels and reward bands can change, so use the figures shown in your account rather than assuming the maximum applies indefinitely.

Ether.fi Cash costs
The Core membership is free, while higher membership levels can require points, assets, staked ETHFI or an annual fast-track payment. Premium tiers can add metal cards, lounge access, subscription discounts and higher limits, but those benefits only have value if you actually use them.
Also check:
- card issuance and delivery fees in your country;
- foreign-exchange costs when the purchase currency differs;
- ATM limits and operator charges;
- borrowing interest if you use a credit mode;
- network costs when moving assets into or out of the app.
Risks of spending against crypto
Ether.fi Cash is not a normal bank account. The system uses crypto assets, smart contracts and external partners. That creates risks from exploits, stablecoin depegging, wallet permissions and service providers.
If you borrow against your portfolio instead of selling assets, the debt accrues interest and a falling collateral value can lead to liquidation. A high cashback percentage does not compensate for a poorly managed loan. Use the free tier first, keep borrowing conservative and do not deposit more than you are comfortable exposing to smart-contract and counterparty risk.
