Is $41k Bitcoin Reason For Growing Musk Twitter Scams?

Make CryptoTips a preferred source on Google

Memelord and richest man in the world Elon Musk tweeted out a funny take on the storming of the capitol building earlier this week when he reminded everyone that a man in a Viking hat had taken over the US government because Burning Man (a popular festival that takes place in the desert) had been cancelled.

Although I must admit it was funny and Bitcoin-bull Anthony Pompliano found it hilarious, it has become clear that most of his followers are anxiously awaiting the first comment by Musk on the cryptosphere’s parabolic rise in 2021.

Just as Bitcoin hit $41.000 yesterday, people were waiting for him to say something about it.

In fact, the growing number of scams that reply to any comment he makes seems to be bad news for the world of Bitcoin.

Cyber Truck and DogeCoin

A large portion of the reaction underneath Elon’s tweets as of late is of cryptofans, who can be divided by now into three parts:

Dogecoin fans who are eager for him to say anything about the coin, those that want to compare the price of Bitcoin to that of Tesla (as both investments are highly popular in the US right now), and lastly scam artists.

Dogecoin fans are calling upon him to say something again about his favorite jokecoin, as any tweet by Elon drives up the price of DOGE by about 20% immediately. So far, they haven’t had any luck though.

IT HAS HAPPENED!! $BTC over $40k!#Bitcoin has exceeded the price of the @Tesla CyberTruck, so I will keep my promise & GIVE AWAY a free #CyberTruck to a lucky follower of mine; just Follow+Retweet+Like this.@elonmusk Please keep your promise & release the CyberTruck on time! https://t.co/mYkgAolJbZ

Investment fans meanwhile remind the Tesla CEO with every milestone that Bitcoin passes how much the price of the most famous crypto can earn you in a garage of electric cars. As Bitcoin crossed the $40k milestone, it officially could buy you a Tesla cyber truck.

Thus Bobby Lee, the CEO of crypto wallet company BalletCrypto, lived up to the promise that he had made last year in June which stated that he would give one of those cars away to a follower of his on social media as soon as Bitcoin would pass the price tag.

#Bitcoin is now worth more than Tesla. So, will you accept it, @elonmusk? pic.twitter.com/kgSBdgcbMZ

Lastly is has become clear that the Elon Musk account is becoming home to scam artists hoping to lure people to their sites (for the moment on YouTube) where they can attract money. Don’t fall for it.
