DeFi Soars And Bogdanoff’s "Dump It" Crypto Meme Is Everywhere
Well it’s been a while since we’ve written about DeFi (decentralized finance) coins, but it would appear they are the likely winner of the new year’s first investment shifts as its most famous coins saw respectable gains in the first few days of 2022.
Yearn Finance, one of the leading DeFi coins, soared some 24% in a week after it started a ‘buyback’ program, which caused the coin to become ever more scarce, causing the price to increase even faster.
$YFI is up $11,000 in the past few days.

He bought, dump it
At the same time, the infamous Bogdanoff twins crypto meme is being seen everywhere after both brothers died of Covid in rapid succession this week.

The YouTube series about trading cryptocurrency created by Bizonacci popularized a meme about crypto trading from the infamous board of 4chan. It featured the Bogdanoff Twins as the puppet masters of the global financial system who were able to manipulate the Bitcoin or any altcoin market in order to ruin a trade.

The series became known as the He Bought? Dump It meme featuring Igor Bogdanoff talking on the phone. You can see an NPC (non playable character) normally called Wojak (WJK) watching a candlesticks chart with lots of successive green candles. When he finally buys, Igor’s phone is ringing and he is informed that the NPC has bought. He did it, he went all in. At this point, the Bogdanoff brother replies: Dump it, after which the price of the crypto coin crashes spectacularly.
The video became legendary on most social media platforms discussing crypto.
