Anonymous Dutch quant PlanB predicts 10 months of Bitcoin FOMO as price hits $65k
PlanB, the anonymous Dutch quant whose stock-to-flow model is now world famous, predicts we’ll witness 10 months of Bitcoin FOMO, with huge price increases as well as several flash crashes of 30% or more.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin is once again rising to it’s highest level of the year and is now trading at $65,500.
Analysts talking to Bloomberg over the weekend agreed we will very likely see a new move higher. According to many of them, Bitcoin’s ATH record will be broken before the halving.
Stock-to-flow
The stock-to-flow model of the anonymous Dutch analyst and quant PlanB has now become a working model for various American investment banks. PlanB states that the shrinking availability of Bitcoin creates a price model that is similar to gold, but that continues to rise in a wave-like motion every few years.
🔴RED DOT !!
Accumulation phase has ended: no more easy buying opportunities in orderly and slowly increasing markets.
Bull market has started. If history is any guide, we will see ~10 months of face melting fomo: extreme price pumps combined with multiple -30% drops. Enjoy!🚀 pic.twitter.com/8MyZJUSUlb

He has been presenting the same chart for 5 years now and it has indeed seen little opposition since Bitcoin’s creation.
As we count down to the next halving, PlanB expects 10 months of Bitcoin FOMO, with very rapid increases, but also flash crashes of 30%.
Analysts speaking to Bloomberg this weekend appear to agree that another move higher is possible in the coming days and weeks. The ATH record could be broken before the halving as many new investors will have been informed by the media this weekend that Bitcoin has already shot up more than 40% in the first two months of this year and will therefore be eager to invest as well.
BlackRock’s IBIT (Bitcoin’s Exchange Traded Fund) now also offers a guaranteed safe investment for those ‘boomer’ investors with the ease of just calling their broker.
So it all looks very positive, but do remember that Bitcoin is as from now also sensitive to geopolitical influences (due to the great interest of Wall Street funds).
Happy trading to all.
