Paxful referral code

Paxful is no longer operating. The peer-to-peer marketplace ceased operations on 1 November 2025, so the referral code that used to be on this page no longer works and new accounts cannot be opened.

What happened to Paxful

Paxful announced the wind-down in the autumn of 2025, pointing to the lasting impact of misconduct by its former co-founders before 2023 and to the cost of the compliance remediation that followed. The company described the decision as strategic and orderly rather than the result of insolvency.

Trading, new offers and deposits stopped on 1 November 2025. Withdrawals continued to be handled through the wind-down process afterwards. If you still hold a balance, use the support channels published by Paxful itself rather than any third party offering to help you recover funds.

What Paxful was

Paxful launched in 2015 and grew into one of the best known peer-to-peer marketplaces for buying and selling Bitcoin. Buyers and sellers found each other directly on the platform, much like a classifieds site, with the crypto held in escrow until payment was confirmed. Sellers could offer hundreds of payment methods, from bank transfers and PayPal to gift cards and cash, which made it useful in regions with limited banking access.
