SATOS review

SATOS is no longer an active crypto broker. Its own buying and selling service ended years ago. SATOS later became the Dutch crypto service provider behind Bybit.nl, but that role has ended as well.

Bybit.nl permanently closed on 30 September 2025. Users could migrate their accounts and supported assets to Bybit EU. SATOS does not manage or hold funds on the current Bybit EU platform.

SATOS review summary

SATOS started as a Dutch broker that allowed users to buy a small selection of cryptocurrencies with euro payment methods. Its range was limited and historical costs generally ranged from 1.5% to 2.5%.

After discontinuing the broker, SATOS worked with Bybit to provide Dutch services through Bybit.nl. SATOS was the locally registered party in that arrangement. Its old registration with the Dutch central bank was not a MiCA licence.

Bybit.nl has since closed and transitioned to Bybit EU. We found no active MiCA licence or proprietary crypto service for SATOS. New users therefore have no reason to use it.

From SATOS broker to Bybit.nl

The original SATOS broker sold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP and Bitcoin Cash. Users provided their own wallet address and paid a sizeable markup.

SATOS later provided the Dutch structure behind Bybit.nl. That service was not the same as the current Bybit EU platform. The European service is now provided directly by a separate MiCA licensed Bybit entity.

What should former users do?

1. Use the official Bybit EU migration environment for an old Bybit.nl account.
2. Sign in with the details linked to the Dutch account.
3. Complete identity verification with Bybit EU.
4. Check that supported assets and card details were transferred.
5. Contact Bybit EU if assets are missing, rather than relying on an old SATOS page.

SATOS fees

The former broker generally charged between 1.5% and 2.5% when buying crypto. This was expensive compared with larger exchanges.

These figures are now history. SATOS has no active trading offer for which a current fee schedule would be meaningful.

SATOS or Bitvavo

SATOS is no longer an option. Bitvavo is active, holds a MiCA licence and supports direct trading in a much larger number of cryptocurrencies.

Is SATOS reliable?

An assessment of its old service says little about the current situation. The key fact is that there is no active SATOS broker.

The former DNB registration belonged to the previous Dutch registration regime and must not be presented as a current MiCA licence. Without an active product, accessible website and verifiable licence, we do not recommend SATOS.

SATOS experiences

Older reviews mainly discussed customer support, euro payments and the high markup. They are not useful for assessing the current Bybit EU service because SATOS is no longer its provider.

Conclusion of our SATOS review

SATOS discontinued its broker, later operated behind Bybit.nl and left that arrangement when Bybit.nl migrated to Bybit EU. The company no longer offers a relevant service to new crypto users.
