Anycoin Direct is no longer an active crypto broker. Eligible existing accounts were migrated to Finst; for a new European account where available, we recommend Bitvavo.
Anycoin Direct has closed as a Dutch crypto broker. Finst acquired strategic activities from the company in November 2024. Most eligible European customers were subsequently migrated with their accounts and assets to Finst in June 2025.
Anycoin Direct is therefore not an option for a new trading account. Although the migration went to Finst, we recommend Bitvavo as an alternative in the European countries it supports.
- MiCA regulated European crypto exchange
- Low trading fees, 0.15% to 0.25%
- 453+ cryptocurrencies available
- Instant deposits with SEPA, Bancontact and Wero
- Easy to use app and web platform
- Earn up to 15% staking rewards
- Anycoin Direct has ceased its operations
- New crypto purchases were no longer available from 31 March 2025
- Customers and assets were largely migrated to Finst
- Bitvavo is an active European alternative with a MiCA licence

Anycoin Direct review summary
Anycoin Direct started in Veghel in 2013 and spent years offering a simple way to buy cryptocurrency with regional payment methods. Finst acquired strategic activities in 2024 and opened a transfer service.
From 31 March 2025, customers could no longer make new purchases through the Dutch service. They could sell or transfer the account to Finst. Eligible customers from the EU, Switzerland and Norway were automatically migrated between 10 and 30 June 2025 if they did not sell or transfer voluntarily.
Old Anycoin Direct fees, payment methods, asset counts and limits are no longer relevant. This review has therefore been changed into a closure and migration notice.
Pros
- Anycoin Direct informed former customers before closing the service
- Eligible accounts and assets could be migrated to Finst free of charge
Cons
- The Dutch trading service has closed
- New Anycoin Direct accounts and orders are unavailable
- Transaction history was not automatically imported into Finst
What happened to Anycoin Direct?
Finst announced on 12 November 2024 that it had acquired strategic activities from Anycoin Direct. Customers could transfer their accounts and assets free of charge without repeating the full identity check.
The Dutch service was then phased out:
- external wallet transactions were restricted from 30 December 2024;
- the account became sell only on 31 March 2025;
- after 9 June 2025, sale or automatic migration followed depending on the country;
- eligible accounts were moved to Finst between 10 and 30 June 2025.
The German subsidiary continued separately for a period according to the announcement at the time. This did not change the closure of the Dutch and broader European service covered by this review.
What should former customers do?
- Try signing in to Finst with the email address used for Anycoin Direct.
- Check whether the euro balance and supported cryptocurrencies arrived correctly.
- Search your email for the export of the old Anycoin Direct transaction history.
- Contact Finst support if assets are missing or migration failed.
A voluntary migration closed the Anycoin Direct account. Accrued referral credits did not transfer. The complete transaction history was also not imported into Finst, so retain the separate file for records and tax reporting.
Anycoin Direct fees
There are no current Anycoin Direct trading fees for the discontinued service. Retaining old percentages and payment surcharges would be misleading, so they have been removed.
Trading after migration is subject to Finst’s current fees and terms. This is a new customer relationship and is not a continuation of the Anycoin Direct service.
Fees and costs
Anycoin Direct no longer processes new trades. Historical fees, payment methods and limits have therefore been removed and must not be treated as current pricing.
The former Dutch trading service
| Service | Current status | Date or period |
|---|---|---|
| New purchases | Unavailable | Since 31 March 2025 |
| Migration to Finst | Completed for eligible accounts | 10 to 30 June 2025 |
| New Anycoin Direct account | Unavailable | Service closed |
Bitvavo as an alternative
Our preferred alternative is Bitvavo where it is available. Bitvavo has a MiCA authorization from the Dutch AFM, lists 453 cryptocurrencies and starts at 0.15% maker and 0.25% taker.
Finst was the designated migration provider, but a former Anycoin Direct customer is not required to keep making future purchases there. Compare assets, execution price, fees and features before choosing a platform.

Anycoin Direct in brief
Anycoin Direct operated as a broker for many years. Customers purchased crypto through a guided order process and could use their own cryptocurrency wallet. The Anycoin Vault was added later.
The image below shows the old platform and is retained only as historical context.

Phoenix Payments B.V. was registered under number 59466197 at Marshallweg 5 in Veghel. These details describe the former provider and are not an invitation to open a new account.
Reviews and support
Existing reviews may still describe the former customer service, order flow and pricing. They do not describe the current experience at Finst or Bitvavo, which are separate platforms with their own terms.
Finst support is the logical contact for a migrated account. Never share a password, two factor code or wallet recovery phrase with anyone claiming they can restore the migration.

Conclusion of our Anycoin Direct review
Anycoin Direct is no longer an active option for European crypto users. The service was phased out in 2025 and eligible accounts were migrated to Finst.
Former customers should check their Finst account and retain the old transaction history. Anyone looking for a new platform should consider Bitvavo where it is available.
The historical rating is 2.5 out of 5. It is not a rating of Finst, but reflects that Anycoin Direct itself is no longer available.
