Peter Brandt: It’s altseason!

The man who spent years watching stock charts was certain yesterday when he showed a “cup and handle” on his social media posts. Now that Bitcoin’s dominance is waning, famous analyst Peter Brandt is convinced altcoin season is about to begin.

Altcoin season is defined by the strength of altcoins compared to Bitcoin. When 75% of all altcoins in the top 50 of CoinMarketCap outperform Bitcoin, it’s altcoin season. Typically, you can make the most profits in the weeks before altcoin season officially begins.

Bitcoin’s dominance had already begun to decline for a few weeks. Even though Bitcoin’s price has been rising for the past month or so, the price of many major altcoins has risen faster.

Cup and handle

So it’s official, or at least if we’re to believe one of the most respected chart experts of the last few decades. Peter Brandt has been discussing stock market charts for years and has been very clear on social media. It’s altcoin season, Peter stated, while showing a chart of the total market capitalization of the crypto market. The crypto market cap chart has been in a so-called “cup and handle” movement for a while now, and Peter expects a breakout.

Not only would that mean Bitcoin would go higher, but all altcoins could also rise.
