Nigerians And Tanzanians Urged To Embrace Bitcoin
The adoption of the central American state of El Salvador of Bitcoin as legal tender may only be a small step, the forecasting by several crypto enthusiasts that other nations would follow is already coming true.
Over the weekend, in a reaction to Nigerian authorities trying to rein in the popularity of crypto in the country, NFL star Russell Okung wrote an opinion piece in Bitcoin Magazine.
He demanded that the Nigerian government would achieve “economic independence and financial sovereignty” by establishing a Bitcoin Standard.

Okung is an influential figure in Africa as he’s of Nigerian descent and has proven himself successful in the US.
He stated:

Despite the challenges we face, the resilience of Nigerians continues to inspire.
