Whereas last week the focus lay with memecoins, it seems we are turning to AI coins this week.

In our overview of the AI coin news of the day we gotta start with Render, the cryptocurrency that allows you to obtain extra computer power to run AI applications or, for example, create 3D visuals. It reached a new All Time High yesterday and has already achieved more than a 100% profit this year.

There was bad news for Sam Altman’s crypto coin Worldcoin. The Spanish government has decided to ban the currency on their territory. As stated several times by this site, Wordlcoin will find it difficult to grow in several regions due to existing privacy legislation.

Render Token and Worldcoin are available at the following exchanges:

AI coins keep rising

Render specializes in offering extra computer power to, for example, create 3D visuals or run AI applications on your site. Because the demand for the use of programs such as ChatGPT, Grok or Sora has grown spectacularly in the past year, the appetite of investors for Render has also increased.

Since the beginning of this year, Render has already increased by more than 100%. This week it hit a new ATH of more than $10.

Sam Altman

Not a very good week for Sam Altman, CEO and founder of OpenAI. Elon Musk started a lawsuit against him last weekend (OpenAI responded by publishing Musk’s old emails) and Worldcoin, the cryptocurrency Sam founded in 2019, got banned in Spain.

Sam wants to use Worldcoin to scan the irises of as many people as possible and then pay them all a UBI (Universal Basic Income) when AI will take over many of humanity’s jobs.

The Spanish Privacy Commission (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos or AEPD) is no fan and gave Worldcoin 72 hours to stop all activities in their country.

Mar España Martí, AEPD director, said:

What we have done is raise the alarm in Europe. But this is an issue that affects… citizens in all the countries of the European Union. That means there has to be coordinated action.

Will more European countries follow?
