FTX Japan customers can make withdrawals and cryptoqueen possibly killed by Bulgarian mafia

Although Bitcoin is struggling to break the $25,000 mark, there luckily is other interesting crypto news out there. FTX Japan’s customers have been able to apply for the recovery of their funds for several days and a bunch of Bulgarian investigative journalists claim that the missing “cryptoqueen” was killed by the mafia four years ago.

The bankruptcy of FTX and the lawsuit against founder Sam Bankman-Fried (set to start later this year) means that many worldwide customers have probably lost their funds. But not all of the group’s customers are in the same boat, and it’s already clear that some will be much luckier than others.

In a press release from FTX Japan published on Monday, February 20, 2023, the crypto exchange’s Japanese subsidiary announced that it will reopen its withdrawal services for both fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies.

Withdrawals are possible through the Liquid Japan platform. Users of the Japanese version of FTX would have already been informed by e-mail about the details of the procedure to be followed. Those who did not have an account on Liquid Japan should create one. They will need some further patience though, as the following message was posted on the site yesterday:

Please note that due to the large number of requests from customers, it may take some time for the withdrawal process to be completed. We will announce the resumption of other FTX Japan services as soon as possible.

According to an article in the Mirror, Bulgarian investigative journalists discovered that she was shot dead (and then beheaded) on a luxury yacht back in 2018. The murder would have been ordered by the Bulgarian mafia.
