How to buy Vaulta, step by step

1

Choose an exchange with a MiCA authorisation

Find an exchange in the list above that holds a MiCA authorisation and offers EOS or Vaulta. Create an account and switch on two-factor authentication straight away.

2

Complete your identity check

A mandatory KYC check applies under MiCA. You upload a valid identity document and take a selfie or short video, usually done in minutes.

3

Deposit euros

Fund your balance from € 5 via credit card, a SEPA bank transfer or Wero. Card and Wero land right away, while a free SEPA transfer takes a working day.

4

Buy EOS or Vaulta

Choose the coin, enter an amount in euros and confirm. Check whether the exchange lists it under the name EOS or Vaulta, as this can differ.

5

Store your coins safely

Leave your balance on the exchange or send it to a wallet of your own, so you hold the keys yourself.

Payment methods

You can fund your account and buy Vaulta with:

  • iDEAL: Direct, gratis (NL)

Where can I buy EOS?

You can buy EOS, or Vaulta as it is now called, at exchanges that hold a MiCA authorisation. Since 30 December 2024 the MiCA regulation applies across the European Union, and national transition arrangements for previously registered firms ended in the course of 2025, so a national registration alone is no longer enough. You pay by credit card, SEPA bank transfer or Wero. Watch the name under which an exchange lists the coin, as some have switched to Vaulta while others still use EOS.

EOS payment methods

From EOS to Vaulta

Important to know before you buy: in March 2025 the project announced it would continue under the name Vaulta, with a new focus on so-called Web3 banking, meaning financial services on the blockchain. In May 2025 a swap followed in which the old EOS coin was replaced by a new token with the symbol A. For holders this meant a migration from EOS to Vaulta. The underlying network and its history stay the same, only the name and the direction changed.

The EOS price and volatility

Investing in cryptocurrency is risky and the value can rise or fall. The chart below gives an impression of how the price has moved over time. Risk only what you can afford to lose. An authorisation of the exchange says something about supervision, not about that price risk.

What is EOS?

On the EOS platform, developers can build decentralized applications. It is set up as a kind of operating system for the blockchain, on which companies can build their own applications relatively easily. The network uses Delegated Proof of Stake, in which holders of the coin vote for a limited number of block producers that take turns processing the transactions. That makes the network fast and keeps costs low.

EOS was developed by the company Block.one and went live in 2018, after one of the largest crowdfunding rounds in crypto history. Later, tensions arose between the community and Block.one over the further development, after which the EOS Network Foundation took over stewardship of the network. That move towards independent, community-led management ultimately led to the switch to Vaulta.

Storing EOS or Vaulta in a wallet

After your purchase, your balance sits in the exchange wallet, which controls the keys. For larger amounts or longer-term storage, a wallet of your own is safer. You can use:

  • Exchange wallet: provided by the exchange and convenient, though the keys are not yours
  • Software wallet: Anchor or Wombat, dedicated to EOS and Vaulta
  • Hardware wallet: a device that keeps your keys offline, safest for larger amounts

Use a wallet that supports EOS or Vaulta, not just any Ethereum wallet. With a wallet of your own you get a recovery phrase; whoever has those words has access to your balance, so keep it offline, never share it and never take a photo of it. If you lose the recovery phrase, your balance cannot be recovered.

How do I choose an exchange to buy EOS?

The coin is the same at every exchange, so the difference is in the terms:

  • How high the trading fees and the spread are
  • Which supervisor the MiCA authorisation is held with
  • Whether the coin is listed under the name EOS or Vaulta
  • Whether an app is available and support is offered in your language
  • Which payment methods you can use (credit card, SEPA bank transfer or Wero)

At all listed exchanges a KYC check is mandatory. Decide for yourself how much you can afford to lose and do your own research.
