Where can I buy Hyperliquid?
HYPE became available at more European spot exchanges during late 2025 and 2026, including through euro pairs. You therefore do not have to trade through Hyperliquid’s decentralized interface simply to buy the token. Check that the provider enables withdrawals if you want to move HYPE into your own wallet.
We compare European providers with a MiCA authorisation. That authorisation covers the exchange service, not the price or technical risks of Hyperliquid itself.
What is Hyperliquid?
Hyperliquid is a purpose-built layer-one blockchain focused on trading. Its best-known application is a decentralized order book for perpetual futures, but the ecosystem also has spot markets and applications running on HyperEVM. Transactions use HyperBFT consensus.
The network broadly has two connected parts:
- HyperCore: the trading layer with order books, spot markets, perpetuals and native staking
- HyperEVM: an EVM-compatible environment where developers can deploy smart contracts and applications
Both parts inherit security from the same consensus. HYPE is the native token, used for staking and governance and as the gas token on HyperEVM.
Hyperliquid risks
Hyperliquid is technically ambitious but has a different risk profile from a basic payment coin. The token’s demand is closely tied to one trading ecosystem. Perpetual futures and leverage can cause users to lose money extremely quickly, even if you personally only buy HYPE on the spot market.
There are also smart-contract, validator, liquidity and bridging risks. The blockchain and protocol have a shorter track record than Bitcoin or Ethereum. High trading activity or past price performance is not a guarantee of future results.
Staking HYPE
Native staking happens on HyperCore. You delegate HYPE to a validator and receive a variable reward. HYPE held on HyperEVM must first be moved to HyperCore. When unstaking, a waiting period applies before the coins return to the spot balance.
Review a validator’s commission, reliability and self-delegation. Rewards are not guaranteed and do not protect you against a fall in HYPE’s price.
Storing HYPE
HYPE can exist on HyperCore or HyperEVM. An EVM wallet such as MetaMask can use HyperEVM after the network has been configured correctly. HyperCore is accessed through a compatible interface connected to your wallet.
Before withdrawing from an exchange, confirm the network and make sure your wallet supports it. Send a small test amount first. Never share a private key or recovery phrase, and check Hyperliquid links carefully because fake sites and wallet drainers are a real risk.
What to compare
- HYPE/EUR trading fee and spread
- HYPE withdrawal support
- HyperCore or HyperEVM as the withdrawal network
- The exchange’s MiCA authorisation
- Staking terms and waiting period
