Bitladon is no longer an exchange or broker you can use. Its historical successor, Bitcoin Meester, also ended service for Dutch users in January 2025. New users should choose an active MiCA authorised exchange such as Bitvavo.
Bitladon is closed. The old broker no longer accepts registrations, deposits or trades, and there is no current fee schedule or promotion to compare.
Bitladon was connected to Coin Meester B.V., the company behind the later Bitcoin Meester service. Coinmerce stated that Dutch users would no longer be able to use Bitcoin Meester from 7 January 2025 and published instructions for transferring crypto. This review is therefore historical, not a recommendation to register.

Bitladon review summary
Bitladon launched in 2017 as an easy way to buy, sell and store a large selection of cryptocurrencies with European payment methods. The interface was accessible, but the broker set its own buy and sell prices. Our archived checks found differences of roughly 1% to 4%, depending on the asset.
The platform is no longer active. Old pages that still mention more than 200 coins, fast support, simple registration or a Bitladon offer are obsolete.
For a current alternative, Bitvavo is a better choice. It holds a Dutch MiCA authorisation and publishes base maker and taker fees of 0.15% and 0.25%.
Pros
- Historically offered a broad selection of cryptocurrencies
- The old interface was accessible to beginners
- A migration route to Coinmerce was publicised before Bitcoin Meester ended for Dutch users
Cons
- Bitladon is closed and cannot accept new users
- No current trading, deposits or hosted wallet service
- No active MiCA authorisation
- Historical broker margins were high and varied by asset
- Old registration links, bonuses and fee claims are obsolete
- Former users must be alert to recovery scams
What was Bitladon?
Bitladon was a crypto broker operated in connection with Coin Meester B.V. from Aalsmeer in the Netherlands. It allowed users to hold euro balances, buy crypto at a quoted broker price and store assets in hosted wallets.
The former catalogue of more than 200 coins was large for its time. Users could fund the account through methods such as iDEAL, bank transfer, Bancontact, GiroPay, SOFORT and EPS.

This screenshot is retained to document the former platform. The payment instructions are no longer valid and should not be used.
Why is Bitladon closed?
The Bitladon brand stopped being an active broker. The related Bitcoin Meester service continued for longer, but Dutch users were told that they could no longer use it from 7 January 2025.
Coinmerce published a migration guide for Bitcoin Meester users on 17 December 2024. It explained how users could copy a deposit address from Coinmerce and withdraw the relevant asset from Bitcoin Meester before access ended.
That transfer route does not mean Bitladon is still available. There is no new account, no active order flow and no MiCA licence that revives the old service.
What should former users do?
Do not deposit euros or crypto using an address from an archived email or screenshot. If you still need account records, use only an official support channel that can verify the former account.
Be cautious when someone promises to recover an old balance for an advance payment. Recovery scams often imitate closed platforms and ask for a tax, unlock charge or wallet connection. A legitimate provider does not need your seed phrase.

The old purchase flow shown above cannot be used in 2026.
Historical Bitladon fees
Bitladon worked as a broker rather than a transparent order book exchange. The service margin was included in the quoted price and varied by coin, liquidity and market conditions.
Our archived comparison found approximately 1.1% for Bitcoin, 3.9% for Ethereum and 1.4% for Litecoin at one moment in 2018. Those figures were a snapshot, not fixed rates. Withdrawal costs also varied by cryptocurrency.
There are no current Bitladon fees because there are no current transactions. Any website presenting one of these old percentages as a live offer is out of date.
Fees and costs
Bitladon has no current fee schedule because the service is closed. The figures below document the former broker and must not be used as an offer or live price.
Current availability
| Service | Available | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| New account | No | Bitladon is closed |
| Trading | No | No live buy or sell service |
| Euro deposit | No | Do not send money using old instructions |
| Crypto withdrawal | No current portal | Use official former customer support information only |
Bitladon alternative
Bitvavo is the clearest alternative for European users who want a Dutch exchange. It is active, has a MiCA authorisation from the Dutch AFM and uses published order book fees.
The base Bitvavo rates are 0.15% maker and 0.25% taker. That is both cheaper and easier to verify than Bitladon’s former variable broker margin.
Users outside the supported Bitvavo countries should select an active platform authorised for their own jurisdiction. Never choose a provider solely because an old review still contains a registration link.

Historical platform features
Bitladon allowed direct swaps between selected coins and also introduced advanced orders. These features were useful at the time, but they no longer create value because the platform is unavailable.

The old verification structure also belongs to a different regulatory period. Small accounts could once have limited access with little verification, while larger limits required bank and identity checks.

Current European exchanges must apply their own identity and source of funds checks under current law. Bitladon’s former thresholds should not be used as guidance.
Bitladon experiences
Historical users liked the simple interface, broad coin selection and local payment methods. The main disadvantages were the variable broker pricing and the cost difference between assets.
Closure outweighs those old benefits. A platform without trading, deposits or new accounts cannot be assessed as a current exchange.
Conclusion of our Bitladon review
Bitladon is no longer active and receives 1 out of 5 as a current option. The platform is retained in our review archive so former users can understand what happened and avoid outdated promotions.
New users should ignore old Bitladon registration links and choose an active MiCA authorised exchange. Our preferred alternative is Bitvavo.
